What is PrivacyMate®?
We are a monthly or annual subscription service that continuously monitors and prevents the collection, sale and widespread dissemination of your private personal information.
What is the Problem?
Modern technology, the internet, social media and greed have allowed large amounts of your personal information to be exploited and sold by marketers who don’t always protect your privacy.
How is this different than ID Theft protection?
ID theft protection is insurance that reacts to the theft of your identity. PrivacyMate™ is a proactive solution that seeks and removes your information from the places it should not be. Think of it like this, if ID protection heals the symptoms, then PrivacyMate™ cures the cause. When your personal information is removed from the public domain, it’s harder to compromise.
How does it work?
Privacy as a Service is your 24-7 agent for privacy protection:
- We remove your personal information from the internet
- We eliminate unwanted spam, junk mail including credit card, insurance and mortgage offers and other solicitations
- We prevent your phone numbers from being shared with telemarketers and robo-callers
- We stop the sharing of your online activities and offline habits and activities
- We allow you to protect your electronic devices from being tracked by marketers
Is my personal information kept private?
Is PrivacyMate a safe and secure website?
Yes. Your communications with us, our website and our servers are encrypted using AES-256 technology.
Why do I need an account? Can’t I just do this myself?
You could attempt to remove your information every database, repository and list in the online and offline world, but this would take a colossal effort. It would be hard (or potentially impossible) to know if you managed to opt out of every database, repository and list and quite difficult to know if they ever refreshed their data sets and added you back in. Finally, even if you managed to get to it all, newly formed threats always appear. Our work never ends.
But I didn’t put my identity out there so is there really a threat to me?
In today’s world your personal information is everywhere. Buy something at a store and the credit card company, the store, their data brokers and marketers share your purchase with marketers who then send you junk mail and internet spam mail. “Like” something on a social network and data brokers and digital marketers know who you are and track your behaviors. Online purchases, phone calls, text messages, web surfing, and physical location is being tracked in today’s world.
What do I get with the service?
You’ll have 24-7 monitoring and protection from privacy threats. After you sign-up and complete your personal profile on our secure and encrypted dashboard, you will receive periodic reports showing where your personal information was removed. When new threats are found, you’ll be notified. Your personal dashboard is accessible to you anytime.
How long until it starts working?
You’ll know it works between 30-60 days when junk mail and spam calls decrease as well as the targeted internet marketing begins to lessen. Data brokers tend to refresh their databases every 30-60 days and so it is important for us to continue to police their programs.
What happens if I get added to a list again?
This happens every day. PrivacyMate™ monitors endless privacy threats so that you are not added back to any lists. If you are, we remove you again.
Do I need to give you my Social Security number?
You don’t have to give it to us, but credit and insurance solicitations (which are the biggest threat for ID theft) cannot be stopped without providing this to us.
What is the inherent danger in opting-out on my own?
The simple act of exercising your right to either opt-out of a database or request that you no longer receive communications from a marketing company is, in and of itself, sharing your personal information with that party. For example, if you were to send a request to be opted-out of a database from your home computer, the receiving party could know any of the following (1) your IP address; (2) other websites you recently visited; (3) your updated information – such as address, phone number, mobile/phone/internet service provider; and (4) your current location. Do you trust what they will do with that information?
What is the relationship between me and PrivacyMate®?

If there is ever a new threat (for example, a new company is sending you targeted ads or junk mail) we will put an end to the threat. That’s what we do.
